Description
An unusual stag and doe deer brooch that was made in France around the 1930’s-1940’s. This piece is glazed ceramic with painted gold highlights, a brass backing and a trombone clasp. It is similar to pieces made by Doliet but it does not have his mark on it. It is signed Made in France on the back. I was not able to find another so it is possible that this is a rather rare design. Perfect for anyone who collects French, ceramics, animal or figural brooches.
Condition: In very good condition with some spotting and a dark area at the clasp. I did not polish it to keep the aged look. There is a small chip on an outside edge. See arrow in the last photo.
